ABOUT AJRAKH
Ajrakh is one of the most ancient and exquisite forms of hand block printing, rooted in the rich cultural heritage of Kutch, Gujarat and Sindh, Pakistan. Known for its geometric symmetry, natural dyes, and laborious process, Ajrakh is a living symbol of sustainable and timeless fashion.
Each Ajrakh piece undergoes a painstaking 14–21 day process, involving up to 16 intricate steps — from washing, soaking, dyeing, resist printing, drying, and re-dyeing — all performed by hand. Crafted using plant-based dyes like indigo (blue) and madder (red), the process requires immense skill, patience, and precision.
Ajrakh isn’t just a print — it’s slow-crafted heritage, worn with pride.
